My work criticizes humanity. His dealings with the earth. My work show s the dark side of economic progress thinking: nitrogen, pollution, consumption. The world is literally on fire. Have destructive forces developed that can no longer be controlled or does the earth still have the resilience to recover from this?

Opposite that destructive power of man is the creative power of man. Mankind has made the most beautiful statues. In my work there are black and white images of frozen human figures, symbols of flourishing cultural creation, in a sea of flames. This clash between culture and nature forms the core of my work.

In my work I want to take responsibility by imagining what the world is like. It's not just conservationists who need to work for the planet, but all of us. It is precisely the creative people (painting, dance, theatre, performances, music) that can play a major role in raising awareness.
